Shredding Expectations: The Air Guitar World Championship Rocks Oulu, Finland

When you’ve produced Imperial weddings and global innovation summits, there’s only one logical next step—the Air Guitar World Championship.

This past August, Brilliant Events Coordination (BEC) took its talents to Oulu, Finland, where the world’s loudest silent sport came alive in a three-day spectacle of pyrotechnics, pageantry, and pure passion. Over 50,000 fans gathered to watch competitors from 37 countries battle for glory armed with nothing but charisma, choreography, and an invisible six-strings.

Shred for your life - it's do or die in Oulu

BEC’s challenge? Transform a northern Finnish harbor town into a global stage of light, sound, and unapologetic rock-and-roll spirit. The result: a stadium experience built in the heart of Oulu, complete with laser-mapped projections, an LED crowd wave, and backstage zones designed to handle the most flamboyant “gear-free” artists on Earth.

“Air guitar is about world peace, self-expression, and absolute commitment,” said Lauri Nieminen, President of the International Air Guitar Federation. “BEC got it instantly. Their production design, timing, and humor were pitch-perfect - like the world’s best solo on mute.”
“It’s rare to be part of something so loud, yet so silent,” laughed Crystal Lane-Chase, CEO of BEC. “Our team treated every air guitar like a Stradivarius and every competitor like a headliner. This wasn’t just an event - it was an anthem.”

From fake amplifiers erupting in confetti to judges’ scoreboards that synced with live audience applause, Oulu’s Air Guitar World Championship was proof that passion and precision can shred on the same stage.

Brilliant Events Coordination: we may not always make noise—but when we do, the whole world hears it.
